Speaker

Clinical consultations are billed at a rate $47.50 per 15 minutes.

  • I charge my standard hourly fee, $190, for other professional services you may need. Other services include report writing, phone conversations lasting longer than 15 minutes, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and the time spent performing any other service you may request of me, such as completing forms for your employer.
  • If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for all of my professional time and transportation costs, even if I am called to testify by another party. Because of the complexities of legal involvement, I charge $600 an hour for my professional time spent in consultations with attorneys, report writing, preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding and any other duties I perform relating to such legal matters.

Have Insurance?

Dr. Wright is currently not accepting new clients.

Cancellation Policy

Please understand that my scheduled slots are valuable to my patients.  If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time, letting me know as soon as possible will allow me to fill that open spot.  You will be charged a full session fee for missed appointments or failing to cancel your appointment before 24 hours in advance.  Unfortunately, insurance will not reimburse you for any portion of a missed appointment so you will be responsible for the full fee.

Rates for Services

Other services

My practice is fee-for-service; meaning that patients pay for each session. I accept cash and credit card payments.

With the exception of Lyra, I am not an in-network provider with insurance companies. I can provide a monthly billing statement (as requested) which can be submitted by you to your insurance agency for reimbursement (if you have out-of-network benefits). Please call your insurance company and inquire about your benefits to determine if part of your bill will be covered. For example, many people are reimbursed for 50%-80% of their session fee.

If you would like to file through your insurance company, it is important to know what your 'outpatient mental health benefits’ are within your plan. Please review your coverage carefully, and consult with your insurance provider. Consider the following questions when determining if your insurance will reimburse you for therapy:

The following are some important questions to get answered before our first session:

  • What are my mental health insurance benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible that needs to be met before services are covered?  If yes, how much of my deductible has been met?
  • Do I have a co-pay or co-insurance amount for mental health outpatient visits?
  • Do I need pre-authorization to begin therapy services?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Does my insurance require pre-approval from my primary care physician?
  • Initial phone consultation is free.
  • The first appointment is 90 minutes for the purposes of completing the initial psychological evaluation. This session is billed at a rate $285.
  • Therapy sessions are billed at a rate $190 per 45-minute therapy session, leaving me the remainder of the appointment hour to complete paperwork.

Getting started is often the biggest step. It is not easy for many. Please know I understand and am here to address your questions and concerns. Contact me for a confidential phone consultation and we'll go from there. Be in touch.
